Interfaith Hospitality
While Rocky River Presbyterian Church certainly is a Presbyterian congregation, we consider ourselves to be ecumenical in outlook. We welcome followers of all faiths, believing we can learn from everyone. Examples of this attitude include:
Communion
We believe that all who profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their Lord
and Savior, who are in a word Christians, should be welcomed to
the Communion table. Thus, on the first Sunday of every
month and other special worship services where
communion is served, we invite all to participate.
Vacation Bible School
Every June we jointly host Vacation Bible School with St. Christopher's Catholic Church. Volunteers from both congregations work together
to make the week a meaningful and enjoyable experience for
the over 200 children who enroll each year.
North Coast Health Ministry
One of our many mission partners is the non-denominational Christian
based North Coast Health Ministry that supplies healthservices to those without access to regular health care or healthinsurance. Yoga Classes
Two Yoga schools use our facility to offer regular weekly classes
in spiritual and physical wellness.
AA, Alanon and Alateens
Each week we open our doors for meetings of
Alcoholics Anonymous, Alanon and Alateens.
Bereavement Support Group
We have regularly made our facility available to
interfaith-sponsored bereavement support groups.
Non Faith-based Activities
We are a regular Rocky River precinct voting place and hold
Red Cross Blood Drives several times a year.
