The Artist Concert Series (ACS) is an outreach ministry of Rocky River Presbyterian Church, employing musical and dramatic presentations as opportunities to invite the community into our facility. It is not funded by member pledges and offerings. Admission is free, and seating is on a first-come basis. A freewill offering is received at each performance. The ACS season runs from fall to spring. The directors have broadened the programming beyond the traditional classical fare to include jazz, gospel, bluegrass, and even a theatrical presentation. The 2008-2009 season included performances by Burning River Brass, Amethyst String Trio, Lance Bryant Quartet, and Bowling Green State University Collegiate Chorale.
All are welcome to ACS performances; however, child care is not available.

Our season begins on Sunday, September 27th when Northeast Ohio's pride, The Singing Angels, will fill our sanctuary with sound and enthusiasm. Having appeared in venues as wide-ranging as the Great Wall of China and the White House, the Singing Angels will grace us with a concert on a lovely Sunday afternoon beginning at 3:30 p.m.

Again this year we are honored to be a preferred venue for the masterful ensemble Burning River Brass. They return to our church on Wednesday, December 16th (that's correct, Wednesday this year) for their concert of classical and Christmas delights. Seating will be available at approximately 7:10 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. concert. (We urge you to carpool with your friends and neighbors to alleviate parking congestion.)
Solaris is the name of a woodwind quintet that is the ensemble-in-residence at the University of Akron. Their repertoire ranges from "ars nova to avante garde" and includes a wide variety of national styles, particularly music of the Americas. Solaris will present their concert in our sanctuary on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 3:30 p.m.

This season's final concert on Sunday, April 25th at 3:30 p.m. will feature The John Richmond Swingtet in a Centennial Tribute to the incomparable "King of Swing" Benny Goodman. This concert will include film clips documenting Goodman's career.
